Modern day travel offers few choices which do not involve putting your life in someone else's hands. In this technology age there are still areas which remain uncharted. One never knows when a pilot will alter a scheduled flight plan into the great unknown. If enough planning and supplies were involved, would it calm the survivors or enrage them completely. Infighting exists all over society. Many long to escape the pettyness. Island Jet 370 offers an escape into the great unknown.

Review by Rabia Tanveer for Readers' Favorite:
Island Jet 370 by L. A. Smith is the story of three people who made some choices for their own benefit but these cause havoc for others. Jack Wellington is the pilot for a commercial airline who tries to do his best in every way possible. On the surface, he has a good job at the airline; he has a wife and two kids and a home to call his own, but he is not satisfied. He longs for the time when he was young and living with his father, the not-so-perfect life was the best he had. So he concocts a plan with his friend Harold and his girlfriend Janie to take supplies and fly the plane somewhere far away from their troubled lives. The only problem is that Jack and his friends would have a number of passengers to think about. With some planning and preparation they are ready. What is going to happen? Will they succeed in their plan?
This was a dark mystery, one that had me horrified with the thought that it could be real. The author raises a very good point with how we put our lives into the hands of literal strangers, but this has become the norm with how things are these days. The anti-hero of the story is Jack. He is relatable to the point where he is dissatisfied with his life and wants to run away from it , regardless of how wrong he is to play with the lives of others.I just loved to hate him, but at the same time, I wanted to see if he would be able to succeed in his plans. The pace was slow at times, but I felt that it was necessary to further the plot. Interesting and original, this novel will definitely give you something to think about before you board your next flight."

Thursday, Jan 24, 7 p.m. Just finsihed the book. Very good! Wonderful job of writing. It will definately hold your interest.
Great read and enjoyed the constant suspicion which built into not wanting to put it down.
I would like to extend a very gracious thanks to all that were willing to take the time to read my first book. It is really exciting to make it acually happen.
I found this to be a very pleasant story. I thought the plot was well thought out and very smooth. Just as things began evening out for the characters, a well placed conflict would arise. It kept me engaged and curious to find out what would eventually become of the Islanders. All in all, I would say it was a good read.
I really enjoyed this book. The author took great care to describe characters, events, locations, and actions to give the reader a great understanding of each. This book is a good read. It draws the reader into the struggles and possibilities the characters face as they use their past mistakes to become stronger and better. This is a great first book, and I look forward to the next title, with much appreciation to the author for her fine and thoughtful work.
Very awesome book. Keeps you very interested and suspicious on what is about to happen next. Very good roll for all characters, and very recommended story to everyone. Story makes you really think and wonder what really happened to the actual Maylasia 370.
You won't be disappointed! For me a good book means that I can jump into the story while I'm reading. It kept my interest the entire time and I felt as though I was also on that island. Definitely worth reading.
Bravo to L. A. Smith for crafting a story and characters that are rich in ingenuity, faith and camaraderie in the face of seemingly adverse circumstances. By reading this, I am again reminded of the beauty in simplicity, the intrinsic value of sharing cultural knowledge and the importance peer communication and respect can play in the transcendence of human experience.
A very intriguing story line with characters that kept you engaged to the end.
L. A. Smith has written a book "Island Jet 370". It is captivating from the first page to the last. The characters are a variety of all kinds. They learn how to survive and become a community where all learn to work together. The story takes the reader's mind on a journey away from civilization. This book in my opinion should be read by all. You won't be disappointed.
As a traveler who enjoys being able to fly, I really thought about how your life and well-being is in the hands of the pilot and crew members. The author L. A. Smith used her creative gift to write a suspenseful book to hold the reader's curiosity. Ms. Smith researched many parts of this book to make it real to the reader. As I read I could visually imagine the island, the damaged plane, and the passengers trying to rebuild and survive. Perhaps a sequel to this book will be created soon.
BRENDA FROM HERMITAGE
Exceptional transition from the first book into this one. I love the detail from each issue they encountered. And how they all worked together being creative for a better life. Great read.
ZACH FROM SAN MARCOS, TX
The sequel to "Island Jet 370" is a fun revisit to what life on the island is like. Some time has passed, and we get to see how everyone has coped and potentially thrived since the events of the last book. The author did well with adding some nice twists that did not come out of left field, as well as putting a lot of thought into how processes would actually work in a situation such as this. If you liked the first book, you'll enjoy this one even more.
DIANA FROM CUMBERLAND FURNACE, TN
Mrs. Smith has written a sequel to her first book that has captivated my imagination to the point of
from the first word to the last, I climbed inside the pages and vividly lived along side the Islanders.
I highly recommend this book to everyone.
AMBER FROM DETROIT
I waited a few years for this sequel to come out! The 1st book was amazing and took me to that
island. I went right back to that island the second time around. I was pleasantly surprised by the
thrill of some of the plot twists thrown in there and loved that I got a back story provided on some
of the characters.
Would definitely recommend reading!
SARAH FROM CHARLOTTE, TN
This follow up to Island Jet 370 is just as riveting. The plot lines run smoothly from one to
another for an enjoyable read. The characters' personalities are well defined and complement
each other effortlessly.
A very fun read!
DEBRA FROM AUSTIN, TX
I was so happy to find that L. A. Smith wrote a follow up to the Island Jet 370 novel. I love the
colorful and diverse cast of characters in that story and learning the innovative ways they
approach starting society anew. This second book in the series, After the Storm, is just as
strong. In fact, while exciting new adventures certainly unravel, it was the ongoing resourcefulness
of the Islanders that kept me scrolling. It was delightful to discover how this "accidental"
community continued to face the challenges (and beauty) of growth and seemingly never ending
obstacles (and blessings) from Mother Nature.
I recommend this series to all those that dream of living in a cooperative and harmonious
society. I sure hope to see a book 3 in the near future.
